Soft horizons and quiet colour

My work is rooted in feeling. I paint the quiet, often overlooked emoational spaces we move through, moments of stillness, distance, memory, softness and reflection. ​

Drawn to muted palettes, atmospheric layers and horizons, I’m interested in how colour and texture can hold emotion in the same way music or light can. 

​

Each piece begins intuitively, allowing mood to guide the process rather than strictly representation, resulting in paintings that feel both familiar and out of reach - like remembered spaces, passing with weather or sunlight.

At the heart of my practice is a desire to create work that brings, calm, depth and presence into a room. Whether abstract or representational, my paintings are designed to be lived with slowly, revealing difference qualities as light changes and time passes.
